Shellmar Construction was appointed to deliver the complete internal fit out of over 60 co-working studio spaces across five separate multi-use buildings in Wick Lane, Hackney. 

Our scope included forming high-quality studios through drylining, carpentry, M&E coordination, and decorative finishes, providing functional and flexible workspaces tailored for creative professionals, makers, and small businesses.

Working within live, tenanted buildings, the project required close coordination to minimise disruption to residents occupying the floors above. Careful sequencing, noise management, and daily communication were critical to maintaining harmony in the mixed-use environment.

This milestone project successfully launched the Tradestars concept, with Shellmar proud to have played a key role in delivering a vibrant and professional working environment to support a growing community of local enterprises.
