Shellmar Construction was engaged to carry out complex structural groundwork and concrete elements at St Barnabas Church as part of a sensitive redevelopment programme.

Our scope included the installation of screw piles and the formation of pile caps and isolated reinforced concrete columns — forming the substructure for a new extension. One of the key features of this project was the construction of a highly detailed suspended concrete access ramp, designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing heritage structure while providing full accessibility.

The works required close coordination with the design team to deliver high-tolerance concrete work in a live church environment, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding community and maintaining the integrity of the historic site.
