Shellmar Construction was appointed by Havercroft Construction to carry out the full groundworks and enabling works package for the new Aldi supermarket at the Orbital Retail Park.

Our works included the installation of new foundations to support the retail unit, as well as the careful breakout of existing internal concrete slabs to facilitate the installation of new drainage systems and service infrastructure. These internal works were delivered with precision to ensure structural integrity and seamless integration with new fit-out requirements.

Externally, Shellmar undertook hard landscaping works, including formation of access paths, service yards, and public-facing surfaces, ensuring a safe and durable finish consistent with Aldi’s national standards.

Delivered on a tight programme within a live retail park environment, the project required efficient logistics management and coordination with other trades to ensure timely completion without disruption to neighbouring units.
