Shellmar Construction was appointed to carry out the enabling works for the transformation of five multi-use buildings at Wick Lane into co-working studio spaces, as part of All Stars’ new Tradestars venture.

The enabling package included internal strip-out, removal of redundant partitions and finishes, and significant structural preparation works across all five buildings. A key element of the project was the installation of new concrete floors, finished to a high standard using power floating techniques to deliver a polished, durable surface suitable for creative and commercial use.

Due to the complex nature of the site and the presence of residential tenants above, works were carefully sequenced with particular consideration for noise and vibration. To accommodate the curing times and minimise disruption, much of the concrete power float finishing was carried out during night shifts under tight time constraints.
